++ EPISODE GUIDE: DIGI CHARAT NYO
This series began airing in 2003. Each episode is roughly fifteen minutes long. The OP and ED songs can be found in the music files section of the site. (Note: I'm still watching this series, more summaries and screencaps will be added eventually.)
Episode 1: It's Dejiko, nyo!
The episode begins with a little alien announcer, saying something about an "intergalactic interplanetary labour union meeting". In the middle of his speech, he is yanked away, and the familiar cat-shaped flying saucer floats by. Inside the ship, Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema are on their way to Earth because Dejiko is in training to become a great princess. They are about to arrive at Earth, when suddenly the ship starts to get turbulent. Dejiko gets knocked back into a lever (due to the turbulence) and it activates a "hologram" of Dejiko's mother. Dejiko's mother tells them that she only put enough gas in the ship for a one-way trip, so that if Dejiko ever felt like coming back, she wouldn't be able to. Unfortunately, just as Dejiko's mother is starting to explain how to get back to DiGi Charat Planet, the "hologram" cuts out. Puchiko tries to help by pushing the lever one more time, but she accidentally breaks it. Dejiko and company panic as their space ship runs out of gas and plummets down to Earth, landing in Japan.
Dejiko and Gema land in a park, and they can't seem to find Puchiko. They end up at Manekineko Shopping District, a busy place full of shops and people. As Dejiko and Gema look around for Puchiko, Dejiko spots a poster of a pretty rabbit-eared girl. A nearby stranger explains that the girl in the poster is named Usada Akari -- a popular idol/actress. Dejiko is in awe of Akari's "bright and glittering aura" and decides to become a great idol/actress as well, just like Akari. Gema approves and makes some notes in a little memo book, saying that one day, his notes will help. Suddenly, somewhere behind them, a huge robot pops up on top of a building! Dejiko quickly takes it down with her laser beams, and begins to walk away, when a little robot stops her, asking her about the beam attack. Gema is shocked to realize that the little robot and the big robot are in sync with each other! The little robot explains that the big robot is remote controlled. In the middle of his explanation, a boy appears, and tells the little robot to "tend the store and stop goofing around". It turns out that the little robot was his older brother in a suit. The brothers own a toy store called "Super Bakumatsu Omocha Gekokujou", and the older brother dreams of making a toy that everyone will love. Dejiko introduces herself to Omocha Kyoshi (the younger brother) and Omocha Yasushi (the older brother). When they learn that Puchiko is lost, the brothers offer to help Dejiko and Gema look for her.
Dejiko tells the Omocha brothers about herself, and how she came from DiGi Charat Planet. Yasushi then wonders if Gema is actually a new toy from DiGi Charat Planet. Kyoshi asks his brother where the big robot went, since it would be a big help in finding Puchiko. Yasushi replies that the robot can't really help in locating something, which makes Kyoshi remark that the robot is kind of useless. Suddenly, Dejiko remembers that her mother gave her and Puchiko little cat-shaped purses that had seven items inside, to be used in emergencies. Dejiko digs into her purse and pulls out a cell phone (which she calls a "pocket ring-ring"), and tries to call Puchiko. Instead, Dejiko ends up calling "Puchiko's Riddles", a recording of Puchiko's voice that tells random riddles. Dejiko gets so riled up trying to answer the riddles correctly, that when she answers the last riddle incorrectly, she gets all burnt out from the effort. Yasushi comments that he wants the cell phone....

Episode 2: Together with Puchiko, nyo?
Puchiko is walking around Manekineko Shopping District, looking around for Dejiko and Gema. While wandering around, Puchiko suddenly smells something good nearby. She follows the scent until she reaches a long line-up -- a person in line tells Puchiko that the stall (where the smells are coming from) have really great soft rice crackers. Puchiko decides to get in line to get a soft rice cracker, but then realizes that she has no money. The man in the stall hands her a rice cracker, but Puchiko declines, since she can't pay -- but oddly, the man says that someone has already paid for her. When he points the person out, Puchiko doesn't seem to see anyone. Puchiko continues to search for Dejiko and Gema, munching on her natto-flavoured rice cracker.
Along the way, Puchiko thinks she sees Gema, so she runs after him -- but it turns out that "Gema" was just a bunch of yellow balloons. Puchiko walks off, but the man selling the balloons stops her, offering her one. Puchiko tells the man that she has no money, but the man insists, saying that someone already paid for the balloon for her. The man points to a shadowy figure in the bushes, and Puchiko goes to investigate. Unfortunately, no one is in the bushes.
Puchiko resumes her search. As she looks around, a rather careless person on a bike is approaching, and the biker isn't really paying attention (he's talking on a cell phone). It looks as if the biker is going to collide with Puchiko, but at the last second, Puchiko steps aside. The biker plummets down a nearby downhill path, and suddenly, a shadowy figure jumps in front of Puchiko in a belated attempt to "save" her from the biker. The shadowy figure turns out to be an old lady, and she too tumbles down the path. Puchiko stops her from rolling down the path, by simply lying down in front of the old lady. The old lady tells Puchiko that the reason why she bought all those things for her (the rice crackers, the balloon) was because Puchiko was so cute, and reminded her of her grandkids. Puchiko and the old lady walk to a bakery called Ankoro House, where an old man is furiously playing "ayatori" (cat's cradle). Puchiko is mesmerized by the ayatori, and the old man offers her a bit of yarn to play with. Then, the two of them start to play ayatori, making their own random shapes. Not to be outdone, the old lady decides to start juggling.
Meanwhile, Dejiko, Gema, and the Omocha brothers are still looking for Puchiko. They pass by the the balloon stand and Gema gets offended by the yellow balloons, calling them "fake Gema"s. Gema tells Dejiko to destroy the balloons with her laser beams, but Dejiko is too depressed to do it. Yasushi asks Dejiko to check her cat purse again for another item, since there should be six other items left -- though he mostly just wants to see new toys. Dejiko pulls a large ring out of her purse, that seems to act as a homing device. As Dejiko follows the beeping, somewhere nearby, Puchiko is at Ankoro House still. Puchiko hears a strange beeping coming from her own cat purse, and when she pulls it out, the beeping sound gets stronger. After a few moments, Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema are reunited. The old man and lady offer assorted sweets to everyone, and they all sit down to enjoy them.
Puchiko announces that she has decided to live at Ankoro House with the old lady ("Grandma" Ankoro Kinako) and the old man ("Grandpa" Ankoro Daifuku), which makes Dejiko assume that she will live there too. Unfortunately for Dejiko, Puchiko tells her that she won't be living with Dejiko, since living alone is a part of princess training. Dejiko is shocked to hear it, but Kyoshi offers to let Dejiko stay at their toy shop. Yasushi hastily agrees, since all of his attention is fixed on Puchiko. Dejiko accepts, reasoning that she can see Puchiko anytime, since they live in the same area. Everyone is tired from running around all day, so Dejiko, Kyoshi, and Yasushi go back home, while Puchiko, Grandpa, and Grandma head back inside the bakery. Meanwhile, Gema has been eating all this time and didn't notice everyone leaving -- poor Gema doesn't seem to have a place to stay....

Episode 3: The riddle cell phone, nyo.
It's early morning in Manekineko Shopping District, and Gema is busily cooking some breakfast in the kitchen. He chops up some daikon (white radish) and almost drops the tip of it on the floor -- Gema comments that not a single piece can be wasted, but as a houseguest, he'd never complain. He finishes up cooking, and brings a gross-looking dish to the dinner table -- it looks like purple goo with a snake stuck in it. Gema calls to the rest of the house that breakfast is ready, and his yelling wakes up Dejiko.
Dejiko is all groggy and reminds herself that she's on Earth and staying with the Omocha brothers, and not back on DiGi Charat Planet. She gets a morning scare when she opens her eyes, because of a stain on the ceiling that looks like a face -- she feels like it was watching her all night long. Dejiko comments that her room in the toy store is pretty plain, compared to her luxurious bedroom back at home. She decides that she'll finish her princess training fast, so that she can go back home soon. Dejiko gets dressed, but suddenly realizes that her cat purse is missing!
Kyoshi wanders downstairs just as Gema is paddling some rice into a bowl. He notices that Gema went through all the effort of cooking breakfast, but at first has trouble remembering Gema's name. Kyoshi looks shocked when he sees the vile-looking concotion that Gema cooked up. Gema tells him to eat before it gets cold, handing him a bowl of rice. Kyoshi reluctantly accepts and starts to eat. Dejiko bursts into the room and tells Kyoshi and Gema that her pouch is missing. Gema reasons that the person who took it must be in the house, since Dejiko is sure that she left her purse beside her pillow before she went to sleep. In the middle of their conversation, some loud noises are heard elsewhere in the house. Dejiko, Kyoshi, and Gema head over to Yasushi's workshop, where Yasushi is working on a new toy. It turns out that it was Yasushi who took Dejiko's purse, since he was using it as a model for a new toy. Dejiko demands to know why he took it without permission, and Yasushi says that he meant to ask permission, but didn't want to wake up Dejiko. Dejiko fumes that it was probably him who was watching her at night, and she blasts him with a laser beam. Yasushi bounces back, stuffs all the new imitation cat purses into a box, and runs off to sell them. Kyoshi comments that his brother was always very enthusiastic about his work.
It seems like everything is fine for the moment, since Dejiko's cat purse has been found. But when Dejiko tries to put it on, she's surprised to realize that the purse weighs a ton! She digs around inside the purse and finds assorted junk, leading her to conclude that the bag isn't hers. Gema fears that Dejiko's real bag may be among the toy bags that Yasushi is trying to sell. Dejiko panics, and they all race out of the store to find Yasushi, before he sells the toy bags. They finally find Yasushi in the park, but it's too late -- he's already sold all the toy purses! The park is full of people, all wearing cat purses. Dejiko gets angry at Yasushi, since it's almost impossible to find her cat purse in this scenario, but Puchiko suddenly appears and says that Dejiko's real cat purse has two whiskers on it and that the imitation cat purses have three. Everyone goes off to search for the real cat purse.
After searching for a while, Dejiko worries that she'll never find her purse. Gema tells her to cheer up and Yasushi tries to console her by offering to make her another cat puse. Dejiko gets angry, since it was Yasushi's fault that this all happened, and fires a laser beam at him. In the middle of Dejiko's tantrum, some customers come up to them, complaining that the toy purses are too heavy. Eventually, all the toy purses that Yasushi sold have been returned, much to his disappointment. From the top of the pile of purses, one purse rolls down into Dejiko's hands, and it turns out to be her cat purse! Dejiko is overjoyed, and everyone is happy too. Gema and Kyoshi suggest that Dejiko should take a look inside her purse to make sure everything's in order -- but when Dejiko looks inside, it's the same junk that was found in all the toy purses. Yasushi explains that he took out Dejiko's riddle cell phone and doro-kei (the homing device/radar that was used last episode) and returns them to her. Now that everything is settled, Dejiko wants to laser beam Yasushi to teach him a lesson. Gema protests, since they are staying for free at the Omocha brother's toy shop, but Dejiko zaps Gema to silence him. Just as she's winding up for a super laser beam attack, Yasushi mentions that he fixed the riddle cell phone so that it actually works as a real phone. Dejiko cheers up, but demands that Yasushi fix up Puchiko's phone as well, so that they can talk to each other. Yasushi agrees, and all is well. Meanwhile, Gema is lying on the sidewalk, looking pretty fried and forgotten....

Episode 4: I won't call you Rabi~en~Rose, nyo.
Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema are sitting on a park bench in Manekineko Park. Dejiko is complaining because she's terribly bored -- Gema suggests either working on her princess training or helping out in the toy store. Dejiko doesn't want to help out in the toy store, since that would give Yasushi free time to create another potentially disasterous toy. Gema reluctantly agrees, then suggests that Dejiko go out and play, just like any other kid. Just as Gema mentions the word "play", Puchiko pulls out the ayatori (cat's cradle) from her pocket and starts to make some shapes.
Somewhere in the bushes, a girl with pink hair, dressed in a school uniform appears. She seems to be trying to be inconspicuous, but is failing, since her sneaky movements attracted Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema's attention. To their surprise, the girl runs into a rabbit-shaped cardboard room, yelling "seeecrettt!". Inside the cardboard room, the girl puts on some lipstick and appears to be going through a magical-girl transformation sequence -- but oddly, this sequence must only be in the girl's mind, since Puchiko and Dejiko decided to peek inside, and only saw her folding up her school uniform. Dejiko asks the girl who she is, and the girl is startled, asking if Dejiko and Puchiko witnessed her "transformation". Dejiko scoffs, pointing out that all she did was change clothes and put on lipstick. The girl huffily introduces herself as Rabi~en~Rose, whose name is apparently well known in Manekineko. Dejiko tells Rabi that she knows her real name is Usada Hikaru, since it's written very clearly on her school bag. Rabi tries to make up an explanation, saying that she found the school bag somewhere and was planning to return it to "Usada Hikaru". Dejiko and Puchiko aren't convinced, so they both decides to torment Rabi by calling her "Usada". A lot of yelling and chaos ensues. Finally, Rabi demands to know the names of the people making fun of her, and they oblige -- except Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema say their names super fast, so Rabi can't understand it. A couple of strangers show up (they look just like Yoshimi and Takeshi from the DiGi Charat TV series, except dressed differently) and explain to Rabi who Dejiko and company are, since they seem to have understood their whirlwind introduction. The two stranger introduce themselves as "John" (the brown haired one, that looks like Takeshi) and "Paul" (the blonde one, that looks like Yoshimi).
Then, Dejiko calls Rabi a bad girl, since even though Rabi put on some flashy clothes and calls herself by a different name, she doesn't seem to have any special abilities. Rabi gets angry and kicks Dejiko, making her bounce off a car and into John and Paul, who break her fall. Dejiko decides to laser beam Rabi, but everyone is suprised when Rabi actually dodges the beam! Dejiko tries again and again to zap her, but Rabi seems to dodge them easily. Rabi comes to the conclusion that whatever "secret power" she had must have finally been activated. Dejiko ends up becoming bored of trying to zap Rabi, and Gema admits that Rabi is pretty good. Dejiko wants to go home, but Gema wants to stay and watch Rabi "do something" -- all the while, Rabi is still dodging the laser beams, even though Dejiko has long since stopped shooting. Rabi realizes that she can't win by simply dodging, and tries to come up with an attack. Dejiko taunts her a bit, until Rabi comes up with an idea to use her gigantic rabbit ears. Rabi concentrates, and to everyone's surprise, her rabbit ears begin to turn, until they turn into a "rabbit ear helicopter" and let Rabi fly away. Rabi cackles triumphantly and flies away, and Dejiko and company decide to follow her.
Dejiko and company tail Rabi~en~Rose, until she lands and crashes into a beauty shop/salon called "Fashion Thief Karisuma". They all peer inside and notice that the salon is very busy. Suddenly, Dejiko runs off, back towards the toy shop. She finds Kyoshi dozing inside, and asks him where Yasushi is. Kyoshi says that his brother is out on an arrand, which makes Dejiko happy -- apparently, she has plans for the toy shop. While Yasushi is out, Dejiko takes it upon herself to remodel the shop, giving it a cute exterior, so that it will attract more people. Yasushi comes back home, and spazzes, since the shop looks completely different. While Yasushi is having trouble adjusting to the new toy shop look, people begin to gather around the shop, admiring its new design. Puchiko declares that the new toy store is better, and Yasushi agrees. Then, Dejiko reveals why she remodeled the shop -- Dejiko has decided that the toy store won't lose to Rabi's beauty shop. As the crowd gets larger, Puchiko proclaims that a new rival has arrived.

Episode 5: Puchikoyaki is delicious, nyu.
The episode begins with Puchiko having a good dream. In her dream, she's wandering in a forest, where she stumbles upon a house made of sweets (much like in Hansel and Gretel). While Puchiko is dreaming, the smell of something delicious wafts up to her room and wakes her up. She gets up and follows the smell, which leads her into the kitchen, where Grandma and Grandpa have been baking pastries. Grandma asks Puchiko what she wants for breakfast, then apologizes, because Puchiko will have to eat alone -- apparently, Grandma and Grandpa have a lot of things to do before the bakery opens. Puchiko says it's alright, then sits down to eat her enormous breakfast.
Over at the toy store, Dejiko is having a dream about a giant chess board. She's eventually woken up by the loud construction noises, coming from Yasushi's workshop. Dejiko drags herself over to yell at Yasushi being so noisy, and Yasushi tells her that he had a dream about inventing a toy, so he's been working hard. Dejiko says that being angry makes her hungry, but since Yasushi is working, they won't be having breakfast until later, and by then it'll be brunch. Kyoshi pops in the room and confesses that he forgot his school bag. Dejiko then trudges back to her room, hoping to sneak some more sleep in.
Back at Ankoro House, Puchiko tells Grandma that she's going to visit Dejiko at the toy shop. Grandma gets all weepy and worried, telling Puchiko to be back at the bakery by 3 pm, since she's worried that something could happen to Puchiko. When Puchiko leaves, Grandma puts on some spying gear (a pair of binoculars and some sunglasses) and tells Grandpa to watch the shop for a bit, while she goes to spy on Puchiko. Grandpa looks puzzled.
As Puchiko makes her way to the toy shop, Grandma is lagging behind, having a little trouble keeping up with Puchiko's fast pace. Suddenly, Puchiko trips on a rock, and Grandma begins to panic -- but rather amazingly, Puchiko recovers in midair and lands on her feet safely. Grandma breathes a big sigh of relief. Then, a stranger approaches Puchiko, asking for directions. Grandma is nervous, since Puchiko shouldn't be talking to strangers, but Puchiko tells the stranger that she is new in town and unsure of directions, then points him in the direction of the police station. The stranger is grateful and moves on. Grandma heaves another sigh of relief, but then is promptly peed on by a passing dog. Grandma scurries up a pole, hoping that the dog doesn't attack Puchiko. Puchiko resumes her trek, and notices the little dog behind her. She gives the dog a friendly pat and apologizes, since she has somewhere to go and tells the dog that she will play with him later. Grandma is again relieved, and slides down the pole, only to land in the puddle of dog pee.
Finally, Puchiko arrives at the toy shop. As she enters the store, a dummy falls down in the entryway, obviously as a gag to scare customers. Puchiko takes little notice of the dummy, and greets Dejiko, who is seated inside and drinking some tea. Dejiko comments on the suspicious toy that Yasushi hung up in the entrance, but Puchiko assures Dejiko that she's fine. Grandma, on the other hand, is seen outside the store, having fainted from the surprise dummy. Dejiko tells Puchiko that she's glad she came over, since Dejiko is bored. Suddenly, Yasushi pops up from his workshop, since he heard Puchiko's voice in the shop. Dejiko tells Yasushi to mind the shop while she has a snack with Puchiko.
Dejiko, Gema, and Puchiko head up to Dejiko's room to snack on some soy beans. Dejiko envies Puchiko a bit, since her house is a bakery, and must have great food at snacktime. Dejiko thinks about all the food she used to eat on DiGi Charat planet and complains that japanese food is too drab. Puchiko disagrees and says japanese food is colourful. Dejiko becomes even more envious of Puchiko, since it seems that Puchiko is eating better food at the bakery. Puchiko promises to bring some sweets on her next visit, and Dejiko makes her promise to bring so many sweets that "her blood-sugar level will skyrocket". Then, Puchiko realizes that it's already 3 pm, so she says her goodbyes and heads home. As Puchiko exits the store, she notices Grandma lying in the street, still in shock from being scared. Grandma makes up a story about how she was taking a nap in the middle of the street, then heads back home to Ankoro House with Puchiko in tow. When they arrive at the bakery, Grandpa notices that Grandma looks kind of tired. Grandma laughs nervously, and denies it. Grandpa looks puzzled. Sometime later, after Puchiko has fallen asleep, Grandma and Grandpa are in the kitchen, cooking up some cat-shaped pastries. They talk about how lucky they are to have Puchiko around, since they're very far from their own grandchildren, and how they will take good care of Puchiko, since she's like a treasure to them.
The next morning, Grandma and Grandpa show Puchiko the new pastries that they were working on the night before -- they're little cat shaped pastries, filled with a sweet bean paste. Grandma and Grandpa call them "Puchikoyaki" and Ankoro House is going to begin selling them. Puchiko says she'll help them sell the pastries, and as she says it, a great aura of determination surrounds her. Grandma and Grandpa are just a little awed by the sudden determined aura. Soon enough, Ankoro House is swamped with a huge line up, as the Puchikoyaki seems to be a huge hit with the customers.

Episode 6: Dejiko is a princess, nyo.
Puchiko once again is visiting the toy shop. When she arrives, Puchiko notices that the small shop is busier than usual -- Yasushi over hears Puchiko calling the toy shop "small", which depresses him. Dejiko asks if Puchiko brought the snacks she promised to bring, and sure enough, Puchiko unloads a gigantic bag of sweets. Just as Dejiko proclaims that it's officially snack time, Rabi~en~Rose appears, apparently lured into the toy shop by the smell of the pastries. Dejiko tweaks Rabi a bit, calling her "Usada" to set her off. Kyoshi asks Rabi to stay and join them for snack time, so they close up the shop for a bit to enjoy Puchiko's bag of pastries.
Having all the snacks out on the table reminds Dejiko of her life on DiGi Charat planet, which makes everyone curious. No one really knows anything about DiGi Charat planet or why Dejiko came to Earth. Dejiko asks if they all want to know about DiGi Charat planet, and then when everyone says yes, Dejiko tells Gema to tell the story. Gema explains that though Dejiko is easy to anger, greedy, and a lot of other not so nice things, she is really a princess on DiGi Charat planet. Everyone has a hard time believing this. Gema tells them that Dejiko's parents loved her very much, and from the images, she also seemed to be quite spoiled. Back at the DiGi Charat planet, Dejiko's real name is Chocola, and Puchiko's real name is Cappucino. Just like on Earth, Dejiko was taking assorted lessons to become a good princess. Also, just like on Earth, Dejiko often lost her temper at Gema and laser beamed him several times a day, causing the little Gema Gema Dan troops to repair whatever wall/window/structure was damaged. Dejiko seemed to totally hate studying, and was often found watching soap operas or drawing manga. Gema was very frustrated with Dejiko's careless behaviour, and he wasn't alone -- Dejiko's maid, tutor, and other people who dealt with her were similarly burnt out from Dejiko's antics. Dejiko's mother overhears a conversation between Gema and the castle staff, and decides that she will send Dejiko on a princess training mission. The Queen wanted to send Dejiko off right then, since her father was away, and it would be harder to send Dejiko off if he were around. So, the Queen sends Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema to Earth -- even though at first, they were all reluctant to go.
After Gema finishes his story, everyone looks a little shocked. Dejiko eats the last her of snacks, then zaps Gema with her laser beams for going into too much detail (probably since he made Dejiko look like such a brat -- even though she is, hehe). Dejiko tells everyone that she decided to come to Earth so that she can be an even better princess than she is currently, and she asks for everyone's help to achieve her goal. Everyone agrees, and they share a warm fuzzy moment. Unfortunately for Gema, he was blasted out of the room, so he got left out, yet again...
Episode 7: The Glorious Days of Usada
It's breakfast time at Rabi's house. Rabi's parents are at the table, and Rabi herself seems to be still getting ready for school. Rabi's mom yells for Rabi to hurry up, and Rabi yells back that she's coming, while finishing up the braiding of her hair. Rabi's dad comments that she'll be late, but Rabi insists that she's almost done. She gives her hair some final brushing, then smiles at her reflection. Rabi starts to talk about herself, in a monologue-ish manner. Her name is Usada, and she's fourteen years old. She's in the second year of middle school. She then tells the audience that she's going to show us what a "day in her life" is like.
Rabi finally seats herself at the dining table and greets her parents. Her father greets her, and Rabi tells the audience that her father runs their family shop, a beauty salon called "Fashion Thief Karusma". Apparently, Rabi's father is a well known hairstylist whose work has been displayed in magazines. Rabi's mother also greets Rabi, and Rabi tells us that her mother speaks Japanese with a hint of a foreign accent, because she is French/Japanese. Rabi's mother was a fashion designer in France, having founded a stylish line of modern clothes, but apparently it's a little on the high fashion side (people thought it was too "fashionable" to wear normally). Suddenly, Rabi notices a clock nearby and realizes that she's late for school. Rabi starts to panic, but her father cheerfully jams a slice of toast into her mouth, saying that freaking out while having a slice of toast in her mouth shows a youthful spirit. (It's common in many anime/manga to see characters exclaiming they're late for school, while running out with a slice of toast in their mouth). Rabi's mother cheers. Rabi takes her leave and zips out the door, running to school. As she's running away, her parents call to her. Rabi's mom says to be careful, while her father yells that running is good and a sign of being full of youthful energy. Somewhere down the block, Rabi slows down and comments that her parents are embarassing.
While walking down the street, Rabi bumps into someone, and the impact throws her to the ground. The person she bumped into turns out to be Omocha Kyoshi. Kyoshi greets Rabi, and asks her if she's okay (with sparkly bishounen background and all). Rabi assures Kyoshi that's fine, but then asks if Kyoshi himself is hurt, since it appears he was knocked into a nearby wall. Kyoshi admits that he's a little injured and asks for help, to peel his carcass off the wall. Kyoshi tells Rabi that he forgot his schoolbag, so he was running home to get it. Rabi teases him a little, but then remembers that she's running late and zooms off again. Kyoshi yells for her to wait. Meanwhile, the scene goes to the balcony of an unknown person -- it's a rich looking mansion, and a blonde-haired man is sniffing a rose. He comments cryptically, "Very glorious."
Meanwhile, Rabi has finally made it to school. As her class begins, Rabi notes that she's a good student, though she doesn't excel at any subject. The teacher greets the class, and reminds his students that they will soon be entering high school, and not to forget about their goals for the future. Rabi muses about her dreams for the future, ticking off her goals in her mind.
First, she must pass the try-outs for an idol contest. Then, she must train hard every day, lessons on singing, dancing, posture, etc. Then, she must win in a singing contest. After winning the contest, she daydreams that her parents are the ones presenting the award, and they rush out to meet Rabi on stage. Her family exchanges a warm fuzzy family moment in her mind, but Rabi's teacher and classmates all notice her daydreaming, and they promptly bring her back to reality. Rabi is flustered and blushes, as she doesn't want people to know about her idol aspirations.
After school, as Rabi is packing up her things, some classmates approach her. They show Rabi some magazines that feature works done by her parents, and ask if that's really her mom and dad's work. Rabi confirms it, and her classmates are envious that about Rabi having famous parents. Rabi smiles and tells them that she's used to it now. Suddenly, Rabi has a flashback of when she was a child. Her father had just come back from a trip, and gave her a little model of the Eiffel Tower as a souvenir. Rabi is at first happy, but upon careful examination, realizes that the model is actually just a model of Tokyo Tower and in fact was made in Japan. Rabi's father laughs and comments on Rabi's observational skills. Another flashback of Rabi's childhood shows her mother one day, standing over the kitchen sink. When Rabi asks her mom what she is doing, Rabi's mom turns to her and says that she's trying out a new formula for a mud mask. Rabi smells something sour, then realizes that the scent is vinegar. Rabi's mom confirms that vinegar is one of the mask's ingredients, but then begins to scream in pain as the vinegar is stinging her face. Rabi's mom warns Rabi not to imitate her failure, and Rabi sighs, commenting that only her mother would do such a silly thing. Rabi's classmates are still amazed at Rabi's parents, and Rabi admits that she's gotten very good at deducing things because of her parents' crazy antics. Meanwhile, the scene cuts back to the mansion balcony, back to the blonde-haired man, once again saying, "Hmm, so glorious."
As Rabi runs home, she once again collides into Kyoshi, sending him crashing into the pavement. Rabi panics and profusely apologizes, while Kyoshi asks for help in once again peeling his carcass off the road. The two of them begin to walk home together. Kyoshi notes that Rabi didn't attend any after school activities. Rabi agrees, but also notes that Kyoshi didn't attend any either. Kyoshi admits that he's not very good at sports or english, and he has to get back to the Toy Shop to help out. Rabi asks Kyoshi if he wants to run the Toy Shop in the future, but Kyoshi frowns and says that he's not sure. Kyoshi asks about Rabi's plans for the future, but then stops as he realizes that Rabi has stopped walking and has gone silent. Rabi tells Kyoshi that she has a dream in her heart that she wants to fulfill, and Kyoshi replies that even though he doesn't know what that dream is, he is sure that Rabi will achieve it. Rabi is happy to hear such support, and Kyoshi (in a moment of trying to look cool) dramatically vows upon the setting sun that Rabi's dream will come true. The two of them share a happy moment, then realize that the "setting sun" is in fact, Gema floating by. Rabi then takes that moment to leave, saying goodbye to Kyoshi. Kyoshi waves goodbye, but then realizes that Rabi was running the wrong way...
Meanwhile, Rabi has once again run into her "secret transformation booth" in the park (ie: the cardboard box in the park) and goes through her "magical girl transformation sequence", turning her into Rabi~en~Rose. Rabi tells the audience that she transforms with the help of her "magical lipstick", and the once quiet schoolgirl has now changed into Rabi~en~Rose. After posing, Rabi then turns and folds up her cardboard box quickly, hiding it away. Once again, the blonde-haired man is shown, saying rather mysteriously, "Beautiful."
At Manekineko Shopping District, Rabi is hard at work, distrobuting tissue packets that advertise her family's beauty shop. Apparently, her fame as Rabi~en~Rose is has earned her the title of being the "Idol of the Shopping District". Suddenly, Dejiko and Puchiko walk by, and recognize Rabi, regardless of her Rabi~en~Rose outfit. Dejiko walks up to her, asking what "Usada" is doing. Rabi panics and clamps her hand over Dejiko's mouth, hissing that she's "Rabi~en~Rose" and not "Usada". Rabi tells Dejiko that she's helping her family out and gives Dejiko
a tissue packet, so she can use the coupon inside to change her look. Dejiko doesn't want to change her look, but says that the tissues would be convenient, and therefore she wants more. Rabi sighs and says that Dejiko is being greedy, but offers up more tissues, using her "Ultimate Attack W Distrobution" move. Dejiko and Puchiko are somewhat impressed. Rabi tells them that there's a lot to learn about tissue distrobution, and demonstrates the "Ultimate Cross Distrobution" technique. She then runs around the Shopping District, using assorted moves to give out the tissue packets. Dejiko comments that she finally sees Rabi's unknown ability, and Puchiko dryly adds, "Usada's good at giving out tissues."
After some furious tissue distrobution, Rabi, Dejiko, and Puchiko are seated on park bench. Rabi complains that she's dizzy, and Dejiko tells her it's because of all the spinning around she did. Dejiko asks about Rabi's parents, but then Rabi says that she doesn't want her parents to know that she's helping the store. Rabi then asks Dejiko about her dreams for the future, and Dejiko replies proudly that she wants to be a world famous actress, because she wants to wear beautiful clothes and eat delicious food. Puchiko's states that she doesn't have any dreams yet, but she wants to go fishing and catch a sturgeon. Dejiko pops out of her daydream of being rich and famous, and asks Rabi about her dream. Dejiko snarks that even though Rabi has no money, no talent, and no education, that's no reason why she can't tell them about her dream. Rabi looks suspcious and says that if she tells Dejiko her dream, Dejiko will just tell everyone in the Shopping District. Hearing this makes Dejiko want to hear about Rabi's dream even more. Rabi decides that it's time to go home and runs off, avoiding the question, but then suddenly trips. Her things fall out of her bag, and Puchiko picks up a book about idols. Dejiko also picks up a book about idol try-outs, and both of them realize what Rabi's dream is. Rabi screams in frustration, but demands that they cannot tell Kyoshi about her idol aspirations. Dejiko sees the predicament that Rabi is in, and rather sneakily wonders what she should do. Just as Rabi begins to worry about the situation, a cart that sells baked potatoes rolls by, and both Dejiko and Puchiko run off, completely distracted.
Later that night, Rabi is at home in her room, musing about how annoying Dejiko is. Rabi's parents knock on her door and pop their heads in, wishing Rabi a good night. Rabi wishes her parents a good night as well, then closes her diary and decides to go to bed. Before drifting off to sleep, she tells the audience that that was the story of her glorious day, and that she hopes that the next day will be an exciting day. The last scene shows the blonde-haired man, spinning dramatically and wishing the viewer a "Glorious good night".
